honesty

We are based in the UK and work with the world’s best suppliers located in Europe, Hong Kong and China. Depending on the brief, style of work or product required, we will advise where each individual order is best placed. Many factors are taken into consideration, such as specialised machinery, advanced technology, technique, finesse and cost. If you have any preferences for country of manufacture, please let us know.

One of our main garment manufacturers is based in China. They are the experts of silk and other fine fabrics, which is why we have a team based here. Using China can have the advantage of better value and faster lead times, but we prefer to manufacture here purely for the intricacy of their work. We want to give a clear insight into the background and process when manufacturing your products, so being transparent is essential. The size of our factory in China is 2,500m² and is a small, family-owned and locally run business. Based in Zhejiang, there are 62 employees and all are on a permanent, full time contract. We partner with this supplier due to their superlative quality. Brands such as Sezane, Sandro and Max Mara have produced their goods here. We have social report certificates showing standard pay is met with employees receiving a generous 150%-200% increase for any overtime work. We make sure that everyone in our supply chain has a safe, healthy and fair working environment. We are also happy to show audit reports and photos of our setup so you can get a better understanding.

Our years of experience in the industry has enabled us to develop relationships with suppliers working to exceptional quality along with strict sustainable values. We offer a luxury service and use a selection of the very best suppliers and manufacturers for our brands.

sustainability

All of our manufacturing is electronic, so besides shipping, we have zero carbon emissions. Everything is powered by solar and nuclear energy, and we have sustainable energy systems installed to minimise consumption. For custom dye orders we work with water based inks, meaning no harmful substances or chemicals are present. This is better for the person wearing the garment as well as for the environment. We offer small minimums and low quantities to encourage limited production runs. We don’t believe in mass manufacturing or having to order big amounts of stock and inventory that may get leftover. Instead, we like to promote ways that waste can be minimised when producing any textile goods. This could be a more efficient lay plan suggestion, the use of deadstock fabrics, or remake processes that use less water and reduced energy.

recycling

To show our commitment to the planet, we have waste policies in place ensuring things are not thrown away. All leftover fabric is consciously sorted and organised into different quality groups. These are then given to fabric mills who specialise in regenerated textiles, and we see our offcuts and leftover fabric repurposed into new fibres/ fabric bases. For any waste that is not sent here, it is reused as fabric for sample use. Our poly bags are made from recycled plastic and we can also supply alternative packaging solutions, such as decomposable or paper options.
